One-in-five U.S. adults say they often get news via social media, slightly higher than the share who often do so from print newspapers (16%) for the first time since Pew Research Center began asking these questions.
Is this worrying? Is this just a sign of the times?
At the very least, traditional news organisations — print, television and radio — need to fundamentally look at their audiences and come up with new ways to attract them.
Nature abhors a hole. It will get filled one way or another. If left to the likes of Facebook, it’ll get filled with excrement.
